I plan to come to Shanghai around mid October or November.
The beginning of the school year is the 1st of September. Will this make it quite difficult for me to gain work in Universities and state run or private schools?
How about language schools and business English?
Do they have a period of the year for recruiting or is it all year round for this side of the industry? |

Language Schools will probably be the most likely to still be hiring. I think it's definately going to be more difficult to find good work if you come in October, although if you are planning on doing your job search in person, I'm sure you'll still be able to find something. Why can't you wait until February, when the new semester starts? |

It's not impossible for me to wait until February. The thing is right now I'm in Japan and my visa here finishes in October. The most convenient thing to do would be to finish one job here and then start another one there. |
