I'm American and my wife is Colombian. She'll get a degree in English teaching from Bogota, and her English is very good. I have teaching experience, in US, and Korea. I'm wondering how hard it will be for her and I to find work. Do schools typically look for ONLY native speakers, like the Asian countries seem to do? Thanks

It is possible to get work here being a non native speaker. What i would do is show up and present myself or phone so they could hear my voice and not put my resume to one side when they see Columbian Native.
We have some non natives working here but they are usually placed with the lower levels where vocab and grammar are more focused on than in the higher levels where they learn more refined pronunciation.
