after English...
I ask the question because I am a bilingual English/German speaker. Unfortunately I do not have a masters or a magister, just a B.A., a CELTA and several years teaching experience. Is it still possible to swing something profitable in the Middle East with those kind of qualifications?
I would be grateful for all advice and tipps....

English is really the only foreign language which is widely studied in the Middle East. Actually, that may not be strictly true: French has traditionally been the European language of choice in the Levant, but even there, it is gradually being replaced by English.
Certainly in the Gulf countries, there is very little interest in any foreign language other than English. Even there, French would probably be the second choice - German would be well down the list. |

The Higher colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi needs teachers ASAP. |

Apart from English, other languages aren't popular here. However, I just saw an ad for German and Spanish Lecturers at the Lebanese American University's campus in Byblos: www.lau.edu.lb
I'm optimistic that the situation will improve very soon! |
