Has anybody taught in Xiamen before?
What do you think of the place? |

Xiamen is the business. Hope you don't end up working for a muppet firm though. |

what is a muppet firm? I am currently in Xiamen and it is a very nice city. The weather is nice and there is always a cool breeze. They managed to trick me the first day that I arrived because I did not hear one single person spitting. This, however, is the case no longer. I am a bit isolated as I live on campus but it is my own fault for not getting out more. |

A muppet firm is an organisation that is run by characters similar to the ones you see on The Muppet Show. I'm sure you get the picture, assuming you've seen The Muppet Show. As for spitting well it is China after all. All I can say is they spit a lot more in other places in my experience, Chongqing for example.
Which campus? Xiamen University? Jin Mei University or what? Stay cool. It won't be long before you make friends. Try Tian Lai bar two streets down and parallel with Xia He Lu. Music, pool and and a few FT's
Good luck |

It'll be higher during any national holiday. Why not take a road trip. |
