I woud think it would be the same as every EF school. Underpaid and overworked... BUT Dalian is a cool place at least...

Folks I met at EF Dalian seems to get along all right..no complaints that Ive heard..but I do know some worked off location ..if that brother you ..you may want to clarify if they send you to public schools...

as to Dalian..I found it boring..and unless you had a vehicle ..the best beaches are out of reach...it is a two FT bar town ...with little in my opinion to do...the pay rates are low so additional jobs will not net the 2nd job pay rate that other locations will...

I know that that center went desperate for FTs a year ago or so. I heard their Director of Studies crying. Crying or Very sad ...if that happens in a center, it makes me wonder what's wrong Question
In China, EF English First has got recruiting centers to lean on and those are in Shanghai, China and in England. Why would one cry Question Crying or Very sad
Watch out for those "independant recruiting techniques"! Make sure the center has got a "crying Director of Studies", not a "crying Senior FT"!
And most definitely DO NOT GO BY WHAT IT "SEEMS" TO BE!
Good luck to you with an EF English First center in China!

Cheers and beers to the hard working FTs in China Very Happy

No instead ..take the advice of a disgruntled employee who under one post topic will state that there are no DOSs ..just Senior FTs..and in this one will state that he knows that Dalian has a DOS...

There are plenty of first hand experiences with EF that are positive. And then there are others that are negative. Often if you look at the person making the post you get an idea of why they have formed the opinion that they have formed and to me that often speaks louder than the words that they post.

Rather than burying another EF thread in the same old and boring rhetoric I hope that we can actually get some comment from people who have worked at EF Dalian as this is the point of this thread.

I haven't worked at the Dalian school, but I worked with the former DoS there for a while elsewhere. He had good things to say about it, as did others. One of the better EF schools by reputation.

As for English Gibson... give it a rest - you're making yourself look silly. You really are.

It is evident that English Gibson has never worked at an EF nor does he have any real knowledge of this company. He has not once identified his "falling out" with EF and hasn't even proven that he has knowledge of the workings of this school. He is a complete fraud..
