i think it's also a good idea to avoid posting one's email address in a forum.
The reason is, all popular forums are regularly visited by a type of program called "web crawler", which basically mimics regular site-visits by real people, with the important difference that a web-crawler may be collecting a list of any email addresses it can find, for the express purpose of adding those email addresses to spam-lists.
Want 40 spam emails per day? Post your email on a forum.
I think it'd generally be safer and more informative to simply provide a link here to one's complete resume (posted elsewhere online), and at THAT RESUME's site, to provide one's email address as a graphic illustration (something that LOOKS like text, but can't be "read" by software). |
