Would there be any problems for a single attractive young (very young looking) (qualified) English teacher in Bangkok?

Answer: imho, no

Bangkok is one of the safest cities I've

ever lived in - with the exception of Tokyo.

It's much safer than most large American cities.

You have to be on your toes a little when it comes to

avoiding the professional touts who will happily rip you off

and the heavy traffic - which can be challenging and dangerous,

but there's very little in the way of violent crime here.

Other than being automatically slotted for kindergarten classes - you will have an advantage over most males. Just not enough females in EFL in the "Big Smoke".

And, with some of the more recent scandals - females will be in even more demand than before.

Just how attractive are you?
on a scale of one to ten, say.

You have no problem at all in thailand being single and cute looking.
It will be an advantage to you in a lot of ways I'm sure.
I work in the fashion industry there as well as teaching english and I've yet to come across anyone who had problems.
My daughter also works as a model in bangkok and apart from having mobile phone cameras shoved in her face everywhere we go (with a smile of course), she has no trouble at all. haha. In general the people are quite sweet and you will have fun I'm sure.
If you need to know where all the cute guys hang out, send me a private message and I'll point you in the right direction haha.
Enjoy your time in Thailand and feel free to contact me should you need any help.
Cheers

Usually when i go to any of the asian countries they know right away that i am an American. i don't know how they can tell, but they can. would i be able to get work?
