Does anyone know if there is an age limit to teach in Taiwan? I've seen a few ads that specify under 32 or something. I'm 35--and wondering if there are others in this age range teaching there--and has anyone had difficulties with this when looking for a job. Thanks in advance for any advice you care to share. |

Some jobs will be closed to you, but you won't have a problem finding work. I was 36 when I left and never had any trouble getting work. |

Same for me. I was 34 when I started in TW, my husband was 37. It's mainly the chain schools and the kindergartens that want the younger teachers. Schools with high school students or adults will be more welcoming. |

I was 41 when I arrived. The only problem I had was last year when Chiayi was suddenly taken over by 20 something year olds.
As long as you're willing to relocate to somewhere they aren't you won't want for work. |
