Just a question of when? Last weekend, this weekend, Fri & Sat, Sat & Sun? If it's still going on today, worth going all that way south?

It's the type of thing that is interesting if you have friends that are participating. Otherwise, I would pass on it. |

I went yesterday. was okay. The rain was a pain in the hole but in the 2 hours I was there, there were about 5 danjiri passing by.
Glad I went as I wont be doing it again. |

Not really. That said, all it takes is the guy on the top losing his balance on the corners and there could be a serious injury.
Like a lot of things, the concept of "dangerous" often gets exaggerated by the locals.  |
