What is Qingdao like to work in? How many Foreigners there?
What's the life like social and work wise? |

My visitor's impression: more laid-back than most Chinese cities of similar size; downtown is still fairly "European" (German buildings), and the climate is friendly. I noticed some foreigners - probably expats most of them.
The locals definitely have taken to beer and they will share it with their foreign friends - my experience! |

Great place, i always have a good time when i visit there,
--but,
getting around can be a hassle. I know blokes there who work not near their homes, and they complain about the hectic traffic. From old downtown to beach 3 can take 50 minutes.
all kinds of Night Life await you. What's your fancy? Feelings, the Jazz Club, the 'Lennon Bar' are local expats' favorites. Perhaps the nicest and most expensive is New York Cafe - live, rock music.
How many foreigners there - whose counting? Plenty. But i don't see 'em any given day, outside of the [one] IYH, or the night clubs. |
