Greetings,
What opportunities are there in Poland for in-house training at larger companies, either in small groups or 1-2-1 with managers? What are the typical rates and how easy is it to find clients? Are there any/many companies providing this type of training and how hard is it to find work with them.
(I am CELTA qualified and have about 8 years experience of training at companies)
Cheers,
Mike |

Not good really. Companies certainly won't hire you as an employee. They can not be bothered with language lessons and just want to pay somebody to take care of the whole problem for them.

75PLN per 45 minutes and upwards. It's not easy to find clients unless you have good contacts or a good sales team.

Yes, lots. Too many.

Not hard at all. But they will only pay you 55PLN at most. |

Thanks a lot Alex,
"What opportunities are there in Poland for in-house training at larger companies, either in small groups or 1-2-1 with managers?"
Sorry, I should have been clearer. I didn't mean to be employed by the company who wants the training, just to work there and be paid; either cash-in-hand or with an invoice if they need that.
So, you reckon it's about 20 Euro an hour if you are paid direct by the client? I'm just running a few approximate figures but I suppose if you found 20 hours a week of your own contracts, that'd give you around 1600 Euro a month. How does that work out with the cost of living?
Thanks,

greetings,
it's all down to to luck and how you market yourself.
i've been offered 3 months work by a company for 100 zlotys an hour which is excellent pay in poland.
how did i find it? they found me
i have a good reputation in a small town. i guess it would be much more difficult in larger cities.
do your research and choose your location carefully, the most exciting places are not necessarily the best.

Trust me: they are going to need an invoice! Not that it is such a hassle to issue one. Just set up a one person company and away you go.

6500PLN a month will get you a fairly good lifestyle. Certainly enough to pay the mortgage on a city centre flat and not count your pennies. |
