I have read in some posts that college/university transcripts need to be reviewed and "homologue" before being able to work in higher education in France. From the context I am guessing that homologue means to compare and equate the coursework, and determine the level, with regard to French degrees (please correct my assumption if it is incorrect).
Where does one get this done? Is it something I should do prior to arriving in France, or must it be done in France? Once it is done is it valid thoughout France?
I have a Bachelor's degree (international relations) and an MBA from the States and think I should have my transcripts evaluated - "homologue." Can someone point me in the right direction, please? Thanks! |

it is not always necessary to do this; i didn't and i didn't have any problem finding a job. You have to ask the rectorat where you live to do the homologation. I don't know if it is possible to do outside of france;
Here is the link to the rectorat de versailles. on this page there is a list of documents to include in your dossier. www.ac-versailles.fr/infos/formulaire.htm I assume the documents required will be the same for each rectorat.
