I am thinking of doing my getting my TEFL certificate from this website:
http://www.teflcourse.net/index.htm
Does anybody know if its any good? I am thinking of doing my placement in Zhuhai, China, but from what I have researched, there seems to be alot of scams going on the internet so was wondering if anyone else has used this website? Or is one of the sites you guys used better? |

How do I go about doing that?
Do I ring them up and ask them who backs their course?
This was on one of their pages:
Affiliations/Associations/Clients:
AMIDEAST
Burapha University, Thailand
George Mason University, USA
Hyundai Corporation
Manipal University, India
Mercy Ships
Middlesex University (pending), U.K.
Ministry of Education, Thailand
Nike
Office of Basic Education Commission, MOE, Thailand
Peace Corps
University of Southern Queensland, Australia
.....does that mean anything? |

It is TEFL International. While I do not know specifics on their course in Zhuhai, China, I have met MANY tefl international graduates and I have seen their training materials. Every graduate of TEFL International that I have met has said the same thing, the program is great and they learned a lot.
As far as being recognized, the CELTA is the most recognized program out there. TEFL International is number 2. Everyone who uses Dave's and many other TEFL sites know TEFL International, just look at the banner on this page and more than likely it is a TEFL International banner. |
