What's with all this beautiful weather? Is it always like this at this time of year? Will it gradually get nicer from now on? I get mixed views about the rainy season and all, and wonder if anyone here can tell me what is predictable here. Are there dry spells like this?

If this is the case, I can honestly say Formosa is a more appropriate name. I was hoping to get back into the outdoors, so I'm wondering if this weather change is just a fluke or if there will be more days like this.

I could probably read your other posts to find out- but it depends where you are. We made it through 3 winters and rainy seasons in Tainan and the weather was usually great except for a few weeks of totally miserable freezing days in Jan/feb and maybe a dreary couple of weeks with some rain in the spring.

I'm in Keelung and I can't believe it hasn't rained for a week and a half! I've seen more blue sky this last week than I saw in the previous few months.

Actually, I'm in Xindian, and if you care to meet me there, to have a glimpse of what a seven year veteran from the UK had said ". . .was the nicest area of Taiwan," then correct him, or the weather, and make it drizzly with your remarks!

I see now, netiquette is lacking, but for the cloudiness of reasoning that is, without doubt, a redoubt on what clarity I've mentioned in my "other posts."

I want to tell you one thing too, if you drop by.

Oh, you may well be in Xin Dian, but you are most certainly in 口和人t as well.

See.........

But don't worry too much. I'm a permanent resident in 口和人t. I love it here.

And this.......

Uncommonly warm in the entire East Asian region this year. As an old timer with arthritis I find myself one of the few people who will actually benefit from global warming.

Hi StayingPower,
Yes,the weather has been beautiful. ** I've been wondering as to why so many Taiwanese now wear cold weather clothing, with the warm weather here? (I'm in Taipei)
Recently,I was walking along outside. The weather was so nice that I carried my coat. A Taiwanese man asked me if I was cold. Smile ( I was wearing a muscle/athletic shirt) I replied that I thought that the weather was really nice, and much better now than in So. Korea. ** Do the Taiwanese really find this weather cold?

P___________, it was a rare phenomena, that's all I can gather. About the cold think however, I've no clue.

This rare phenomena made me feel the real beauty of Taiwan, so I was surprised no one else made any comments as to this rarity. I can now actually see alittle bit why Taiwan was at one time called Formosa.
