I'm sorry, I'm sure it is posted everywhere, but what is a CV and what should it look like?

CV = Curriculum Vitae

As far as I know, a CV is a European resume.

But some research is in order. You might want to google it to get some samples, such as the following:

buena suerte Smile

CV could mean an extensive work history with pages and pages of details on courses that one taught, presentations made, meetings one has chaired, etc.

It could also just be a 2-page resume. Most non-university jobs ask for this, but they may call it a resume or CV. Even university ads may mean this, especially if they are for entry-level positions or for people that don't need a lot of experience.

This term is also synonymous with "Resume" in Higher Education here in the states.

You're a bit feisty when answering other people's questions, aren't you?
Ah well, all in good fun I hope!
