Curious if anyone here has gotten a decent monthly rate from a business hotel, especially outside of Tokyo, in a smaller city. With the off season now upon us, I'm exploring this possibility as an alternative to the high cost of my apartment (plus the impending winter heating costs). Any ballpark offseason figures would be helpful. I've seen some of these hotels sit virtually empty thru the offseason before, wondering if they cut deals for long term stayers.
