i am new to the Poland board......i never see/hear anyone talking about working in the private school system. It seems everyone works at language schools.
does anyone here know if native speakers are hired to teach in the primary schools as in other countries?
I really want to leave where I am and come further north to the land of civilization. But it seems like competition for jobs is much fiercer up there.
Has anyone heard or worked for Word school of English? What's it like...?
thanks |

There are two types of English language private primary schools in Poland. There are those like The American School of Warsaw, The British School of Warsaw (not to be confused with British school - a chain of language schools) and the European International School of Warsaw which are very profession, very reputable, very fussy about only taking teachers who are qualified to teach in state schools in the UK or USA, very tough to get a job with and very good when it comes to paying their teachers, and then there are other schools which are none of those things. |
