Hey all you guys and gals in Poland,

I have a question I am looking on moving to Poland within the next year or so. I have already begun apartment hunting and I am not sure what the going rates are in Warsaw. I would like something around 45 square meters in downtown Warsaw. Ideally something near Jana Pawla ll and Rondo ONZ.

Thanks

Stare, if you can find anything in that area thats not in a 15-storey block for under 300k zl, you'll be a very lucky man. In fact, if you've got a map, (like this one: http://www.euroave.com/maps/00mapx.php?xcity=warsaw) and draw a box from the river to Towara as two parallel sides, and Solidarnosci and Armii Ludowei as the other two, you'll be pushing the 300k mark anywhere in there. This is hideously overpriced compared to a decent kaminica (sp?) over the river, or in the leafier, quieter, cleaner suburbs east and south, where you can park your car and get to a supermarket easily.

45 metres in that area to rent would be at least 1800 a month.

To buy would be from 7000 to 9000 per square metre depending on condition but prices go as high as 11000 per square metre.

Here's a link to check:
