				| Where you reside in Mexico, is it looked down upon to live with a partner to whom you are not married? I've been told that it's not allowed in some places like Peru. Your thoughts? | |

				| Older parents might feel that way. I'm in Mexico City, so it's not a good measure for smaller towns or rural areas. La vida moderna they call it here. Most people here probably don't give it a second thought.
I lived with my wife for 6 months before marrying and no one in the family here thought anything of it.

				| It's not an uncommon practice in this part of the country among city and village folks alike. Most people couldn't care less about marital status and living together, the exception being some private religious school folks. I know of at least one of those schools that won't even employ teachers who have been divorced. | |

				| It's acceptable here in Huatulco; most people have an attitude of "live and let live". | |
