I've really gotten a lot of good info from this forum in the last weeks. I am seriously considering coming to Taiwan. I lived and worked in Thailand for years. Question is: I'm 56. I have a TEFL Cert and a couple of advanced degrees. Can I get a job at one of the chains? Or am I too old??

Welcome Brian B,

Coaching adults would be a more likely employer for you.

A quick search of the word "age", restricting the engine to the Taiwan board netted these:

1.
2.

There are prolly more like them.

Cheers Big Ears.

You could likely get a job with Kojen and they will most likely have you doing adults, particularly if you are in Taipei.

Thanks for the replies and the links to other posts. I look younger than I am and I'm not fat. We'll see what happens.

Hi Brian,

I'm older than you and have a job. I think your qualifications will serve you well.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'll be there in a few weeks. I'm sure something good will happen.
