Hi! I have a friend who is a native of Beijing living there and would like to learn simple, conversational English.

Does anyone know of any high school or college students currently in BJ who is a good native speaker of English? Someone who wants to earn some extra money while studying? (Expats also welcome.) He/She could teach my friend and his wife simple English for paid lessons about twice a week.

Or does anyone know of any websites or forums or message boards where we could find such students or ppl in BJ?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks! Very Happy

If they are adults and are learning English from scratch it's going to be a painful experience for their white-face opposite number.
There is no need to hire a white face for the stated purpose so long as the learner is still internalising the basics of the lingo.

Anyway, they can invest in regular home study classes at the rate of RMB 150 and more per hour. I doubt it will lead to much, particularly if they are not prepared to do homework and study the nuts and bolts of the mechanics of English.

Visit www.thatsbj.com and get in touch with one of the many advertisers of "conversational English" classes.
