|
|
Hey all, I've looked to see if there was a relevant topic already but failed to find one, if there is one, sorry, please just refer me to it!
I've been in Krakow for a couple months now and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts/opinions/suggestions for schools teaching Polish. I would like to learn the language by enrolling in a class but wasn't sure what school was best and a good value (as cheap as possible while maintaing quality!). Thanks in advance for any help! |

Any similar info about Zielona Gora would also be appreciated. |

It's a bit cheeky but why not try some of the English schools, especially the better ones I.H. for example and see who teaches their teachers. They might be able to give a good reccommendation and then you can steal thweir teacher for yourself. |

you should try www.polishcourses.pl in Krakw. A friend who was beginner level did a 4-week course last year and can now communicate well. I did their advanced course which was somewhat above my level but has made me very fluent. It should work out about 20zl per 45 mins. You'll be in a group and it'll be 100% in Polish. You won't regret it! |

i took a polish course with the school where i was working as a newbie and found it to be extremely useful not only in terms of learning the language but also because it taught be to be a more effective teacher.
if your school doesn't offer polish courses it's easy enough to find somewhere or someone who does. |

Thanks for any advice, I have definitely found enough schools with Polish, I was just looking for anyone with personal experience - I guess I'll just have to go for it! |

What about Language CDs? I have used the Pimsleur CDs to great success in Basic German, spanish etc... but I dont think they have a Polish one yet??
Can any one suggest a good Polish language course via CD? |
