Hi guys
I am intersted in teaching overseas and am looking into what placed would suit me.I am after a place with Interesting p/l to meet,an oppurtunity to travel,a scenic place where i could have some oppurtunities to maybe place some tennis or soccer, join a wrestling club or if im very lucky get some dance lessons.
I am planning to teach overseas for a 3 year period, travel a bit and would like to save some money.I have a BA,Dip Ed ,and Ma from Melbourne University( No 1 Uni in Australia) as well as 5 years experience teaching English and other subjects to high school students in Australia.I would like to find something that pays between3- 4 thousand australian dollars a month.
I would like to know which of the countries could meet my needs.I was also wondering if the INternational/ Private schools in the area pay better then the ESL jobs.I would prefer to teach something other then English and have experience in the Humanities fields mainly. Do i have enough qualifications to make this kind of money and is so where ? |

In my opinion, you shouldn't have much trouble. Queen's University in Canada has a job fair every February where new B.Ed grads get muliple job offers. I'm sure there is something similar in OZ. The money you're seeking in a popular spot may be a bit tight.
Language schools will pay less, but you'll be required to do much less. It's all up to you. |

hak,
You wrote on another thread that you are interested in Asian countries and that you want to make AUS$4000 per month. How set are you in those requirements? Do you have a teaching license? |

Try International School Services - one of the biggest placement programs for teachers seeking to work in international schools. They probably have job fairs in Australia. Many international schools use them to find their teachers. Costs them much less than traveling the world to recruit for themselves.
Just one option.
