				| ...the first time I arrived in 2000. Thought I'd share this quick story with Canadians.
I didn't really pay nothing, but someone paid me for half the journey, which paid for the other half. I drove a car from Toronto to Miami for a service called Toronto DriveAway. Their clients are older snowbirds who winter in Florida for 6 month stretches and need their car there, but don't want to drive it down.

I mention it because I still get emails from DriveAway reminding me that this is the season.

	  | Hello again to all of our Previous Drivers! - AND Hopefully Future Drivers!
We hope you had a great summer and now it is time for us to remind you that
the SOUTHBOUND season is fast approaching! We have lots of cars to be
driven to FLORIDA, ARIZONA AND CALIFORNIA particularly in October -
November - December - January and of course returning in March - April.
GAS PAID PLUS $250.00 most of the time.

There are good one-way Northbound air fares available from Florida to
Toronto on Westjet - Air Transat - Sky Service and even Air Canada's Tango
 fares.

America west flies direct between Arizona and Toronto. And of course there
is JetBlue - Air Tran - Southwest Airlines out of Buffalo and of course
Southwest and Spirit airlines from the U.S.Southwest to Buffalo and Detroit.
 And don't forget Expedia.com!!!!

All the best and we look forward to hearing from you.

As far as I know, they only run out of Toronto. What they paid me, I used to buy a plane ticket to Mexico City. I enjoyed the drive and stayed at Miami Beach for 2 days. If you want to know more, email [email protected] Don't email me...I haven't talked with them in 6 years.

				| The other cheap possibility is to travel by courier class. The air fare can be as little as nothing plus a stipend if timed right. Unfortunately only a few cities have these such as LA, NYC, Miami. The deal is that you call a courier service and agree to take a flight to Mexico City if courier service is needed on such and such a day. You go to the airport and sign an affidavit certifying that you are the courier for the parcel in transit, belonging to a bonafide company. The company pays the courier service for the privilege of brokering a courier, the courier service gets you a free tix or extremely low discount.
I`ve not done it myself but a friend goes to Madrid from Atlanta twice a year and they pay him $500 to boot.

				| I've copied a post by Melee on cheap flights over to this thread, because it quotes SA flights from Miami...a perfect link up to the DriveAway service from Toronto
