Am planning to take up a job offer in Doha but just wanted to see if anyone had any info on applying for visas for accompanying spouses - will it take 90 days or is there any way around this?
Many thanks. |

You may not be allowed to bring your wife in on the same visa as yourself. Depending on her nationality (i.e. if she's a westerner) she will be able to get a tourist visa on arrival. This will need renewing. Once you have got your visa, it is quite a simple process (by Qatar standards) to get her over here.
There's more information here: http://qatarvisitor.blogspot.com/2006/10/qatar-visas.html
The Qatar airport website is also good, and seems to be quite up-to-date. Some of the government websites seem to be out of date!
I am here with my family, and we have really settled in. You are really better off here as a family than as a single person.
Good luck! |

If the public relations person where you're going to work has good contacts in Immigration, you should be okay. Check that out with your company. |
