Some basic questions.
Had a quick search but can't find clear answers.
How do you start working in Vietnam??
Is at as easy as..
Get a tourist Visa.
Fly to Vietnam.
Find a job.
Change/extend your visa
Carry on ad nauseum?
Or is it somehow more complex? I know you need work permits. Is there a work visa?
What is the basic (legal) procedure.
Or point me to the thread.
Thanks in advance.

We arrived in Vietnam on a tourist visa, eventually (which was a bit of a hassle b/c we had extended our tourist visa) changed that to a business visa through a travel agency. Then we found jobs. Some schools want you to have a proper visa, and some of them are willing to help you get that. There is a bit of a hassle w/the work permit situation, but that's something to be started once in Vietnam (however, before leaving home, read up on it so you can bring all required documents w/you). |

The work permit issue is not resolved.
The few people that got it last year, now have to go and renew it all over again! |
