Which do you like best? I'm heading to Phuket tomorrow for my TEFL Int'l course, but then after that I'll need to find a job. I've already ruled out Bangkok - I've been here a couple days now and it's definitely not my cup of tea. Way too big and congested for me. Granted, I'm a native Kansan and my home town only has 100,000 people, but I'd really like something slower-paced, with enough pale faces around to help ease this solo transition. Any suggestions?

Surat Thani is probably the easiest place to land the best job. Phuket: good market - but lots of competition because of all the TEFL schools on the island. Hua Hin: small market.

How do like Phuket Matt? As far as air quality goes, is it polar opposits to BKK?
After your MA is finished, would you consider finding a job and staying there?
I love the beach. I can imagine working and living in such a place.
I guesse landing a job is the challenge.
Anyway, good luck.
