So I just spent a pretty nice amount of time searching for "Valparaiso", and I just want to be clear.
Am I right to assume that NOBODY lives there who is using this forum? Everything I read is the same rehashed story... looking for work in Valpo, but I ended up in Vina which is a different city but whatever. Only 2 language institutes in Valpo, teaching more or less impossible.
I don't really want to sound like a snob, but it seems to me that there's a difference between living in a UNESCO World Heritage site of 200k people and living in the 800k person city-next-door. Can anyone who's lived in Valpo actually tell me anything about it?
Namely...
1. How's renting? Short term/long-term? Furnished/unfurnished?
2. Is a Communicorp salary gonna cut it?
3. What's the other language institute out there?
Any info would be much appreciated. I'm looking to relocate myself in the summer and I'm really curious if I've got a shot in hell here. |
