I have an opportunity to teach at Kings College of English in Bangkok and I was wondering if anyone could offer me any advice or would recommend them as a employer. From all the information the school has given me it seems that they offer plenty of support to inexperienced teachers - is anyone able to tell me how much support do they provide?
I was also wondering I have been offered 33,000 baht - with an BA, MA and a CELTA though no teaching experience is this a reasonable salary to expect?
Thanks |

Yes, I work at King's College and can confirm they're excellent employers. There are three branches in Bangkok and I only have experience of one of them (Emporium), but I'm not aware of any dissatisfied teachers. I had no teaching experience and plenty of support was provided. The resources are also great at my branch. The only regular moan is about the salary, but unfortunately it's par for the course for language schools in Bangkok (33-35,000).
Feel free to PM for more information or if you have any specific questions.
Cheers (and thanks Kent - we really must have that beer sometime...) |
