I got e-mail from NOVA saying they wanted to schedule an interview with me.
They said if I passed the first stage, I would then go through a background check.
For anyone who already went through this, what exactly does this background check cover? Criminal, education, employment history, or all of these things?
(woud like to know in advance so I don't embellish the resume when i go in)

I don't remember a background check. They called my references...that was it I think. Come to think of it, I had a few discussions with teachers when I was in Japan and we all thought it was a little disturbing that they didn't do any in depth checks, considering we were working with kids on a daily basis. Maybe they have changed their policy and do checks now. It wouldn't be a bad idea. |
