Hi guys,
My husband and I are looking for positions as Spanish Teachers... please let me know if you have any idea of which universities offer Spanish programs.
I looked on the internet, but most of the websites are in Chinese so I don't have any clue where to go from the home page.
My husband wants to go to Japan, but I like China better, and I have the impression that it would be easier to find a position in China rather than in Japan.
Thanks. |

| Try applying to the University directly. Just do a google search of University's in China and apply to each one about a possible Spanish job. |

Well, you can considerably narrow it down to the following locations:
- Peking;
- Shanghai;
- Guangzhou (you might find it also under 'Canton');
- Xi'an;
- Nanjing;
- Wuhan;
- Tianjin.
There might be a few more, but it is less likely that a city like Datong (Shanxi) or Jiamusi (Heilongjiang) has a university that has a Spanish department.
Now you can checkm for universities or colleges that teach "Foreign Languages" or are a "polytechnic" or "university of technology'. Some names such as "Zhongshan" (or Dr. Sun Yatsen) inform the information seeker that this place is highly prestigious; in Shanghai try the Jiaotong University (excellent foreign language programmes). |
