If it's like most LA countries, schools and unis hire around now until Feb. and then again around July and Aug.
Language schools hire year-round.

Thanks, but I am working in Argentina and so I am aware that is the case over here and in Chile, but I am trying to check if Bolivia is indeed like most South American countries in this sense...

That's just the time when classes are scheduled but 'backpacker' teachers don't turn up. There are probably more backpackers subsidising their holiday by teaching than there are teachers who take their job seriously. Consequently there is always work becoming available as the backpackers move on - or just don't show up.

Edit: It has been pointed out to me that some people might take my posts seriously Shocked So I would just like to stress that as a general rule, I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about.

Just thought I'd like to clear that up Laughing

I was just in Bolivia for 2 months and the tourist visa is only for 1 month, but you can renew it.
