Hey there must be a computer head amongst you all!
I had dial up net last trip into bangkok and it was very sad! haha.
I noticed there was a lot of Wi Fi access around, but I'm new to this and wanted to find out what was the best server to use for it.
sorry if I sound like a dumbo, just new to it.
Cheers |

I would recommend Hutch wifi. You puchase a pc wifi card that slips into the slot in you laptop and you have wifi anywhere in some 27 provinces. I love it, no matter where I go around Bangkok I have instant internet. It's a little pricey at 12,000 for a one year unlimited use contract which is what I went for so I wouldn't have to bother with it again for a year. They have cheaper choices limiting the amount you can download per month.
Please note it is not very fast. Better than dialup but it only averages about 100-140 kb/sec. They say that they will make a big jump to true high speed wifi within a year (but who knows).
You can go to the Hutch shop at MBK near Power Buy on floor 6 to see the options. |

I found a link to the Hutch wi-fi card you mentioned;
I'll post it on The Master Index Thailand tonight.
Thank you for the tip, h2oshore.

If you're near Shilom just pop into a cafe and have a latte. The wifi is free and lightening fast. |
