I cashed mine at the SMBC bank in Namba. They have an branch on B1 for currency exchange. It opens at 11 am. There is also a branch on the first floor so don't get them confused. They didn't ask me if I was part of their bank or not, I am but don't think you need to be. The SMBC is right across from that huge takeshimaya place. PM me if you need more info, but I don't long on to often.

Good luck,
Chris

Cheers guys
Do you think it would be better to get traveller's cheques and money exchanged in Osaka or Bangkok, or would it not make a difference?
