I year teaching Korean adult business men 40-47 classroom hours a week.
Would I be very marketable in Taiwan? I like teaching teens through adult. |

Hi Durian,
This question gets recycled pretty frequently and the short answer is yes, you're employable. The where and by who is covered in other posts. What city are you interested in?
If you do a search for David's (a school that has quite a few centers and teaches adults) you'll find several posts that address the age issue and several others that discuss which schools teach adults.
I also recommend reading KaiFeng's thread http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/job/viewtopic.php?t=43654
I've got a few years on you and when my "day job" had problems figuring out how to get my ARC I spent a solid two days on research, chose a school, called, interviewed and had a signed contract within 5 days. And you're a lot more qualified than I am. Your business background will be a big plus in some areas.
Here's Michael Turton's page on University teaching. I don't know how up to date it is. http://users2.ev1.net/~turton/college_intro.html
Good luck,
Cat |
