Has anyone heard of this school in Taichung, Taiwan?
For those who are in Taichung or have been there... how is/was your experience? |

I work at a Catholic School. The school has about 4500 students. It also has a full catholic staff that runs the church on location and a father who is incharge of the school, he is about 80 years old. I don't know any teacher or student's that attends church services. The Lord's prayer is said but the students have no idea what it means other than when we say it we get to eat or go home. Religious teachings are forbidden. For what it's worth about Taiwan's Christian Schools.

Taichung is a great city. It has a good nightlife, with better weather and cheaper rent than Taipei. Its also located centrally on the island, so its easy to get around to other places on weekends. You will probably need/want a scooter to get around the city as there is no metro and the bus schedule remains a mystery to most. Overall defineately a good place to live. Highly recommended. |
