Hey peoples,

I've been teaching away in Korea for a few years and cannot bear the thought of another K-winter. I was looking at spending a contract or two in Vietnam or Thailand.

Basically, I wanted to spend the first few months getting acclimatised moving around SEA just taking some PT jobs to keep myself going.

I've been led to believe that there are PT gigs to be had, but I don't know if I want to base all my thinking on that and get stuck signing a FT contract before I'm ready. What are the prospects of this in Thailand?

Also, I'm seeing a lot of ads asking for CELTAs, TEFLs or equivalent. Is that a must have? I've got the undergrad, 3 years experience and MA in Applied Linguistics. Do I have to get the CELTA as well??
