I know that this is a sight for esl teachers but i have a question about International schools/ Private schools and dont know anywhere else to ask it.Is there a separate forum for these types of schools? I also have been looking on the net and it seems that the American schools want American teachers and the British will only accept p/l with a visa from their country is this correct?I have found a few lists of schools but am looking for a sight that has all of them does anyone know of any?

I have a BA,Dip Ed and MA from Melb UNi in Australia, and 5 years experience is this enough or are they looking for higher qualified p/l because of the competition for these jobs ?

I know of no site for general teaching like this one. There have been many schools discussed on here, but it will take some reading and searching on your part. The best American and British schools can demand and get qualified teachers from their own countries, but there are many international schools - of varying quality as employers - who take what they can get. Google is your friend...

I notice that you have posted this in almost every section of Dave's. Good luck with whatever part of the world you decide to pursue.

Hak
GEMS education had a very general ad in the Gulf news this week recruiting for all levels/subjects for its system of schools in the UAE - I suggest you go to their website I am sure you will find an email address where you can send a CV.

Good luck
