I am involved in elt in Libya. I would like to make contact with other native speakers who are also working here: British, Canadian, et al....
I am fully experienced and am on the verge of plunging into an MA by distance ... |

Where are you working and how are the conditions there? I am also Canadian. Working in Istanbul at the mo but about to take a position with an oil co. in eastern Libya, starting the first week of May.
I'm hungry for any info - job expectations, accom, bennies, baddies, the works!
Cheers and hope to hear from ya soon.

Where are you going in Eastern Libya and with which outfit?Sirte,Zuetina or Veba?
You do realize that you'll probably be in the Middle of nowhere.I worked in Sahl,Zelten and Brega. In Sahl I was the only westerner.....longest 6 months of my life.
Good luck and take a lot of books. |

Biffinbridge,
I notice you've mentioned Veba and Eni are the best (or the only decent) outfits in Libya. I've scoured the net for them and found nothing.
Do you know if and where they advertise their posts?
Cheers.
Also, does anyone know if Bell provide TV and/or internet access with their accommodation?
Could be handy out there...
Thanks a lot. |
