Does the American voltage/plug system work the same in Taiwan? I'm wondering if I need adaptors for some of my appliances and if the voltage/plugs will be all right, ie, are they square, the same width apart, can be plugged right in etc.

They're the same, no adaptor required.

Not totally true....you may find many plugs dont have the 3rd "ground" prong, and if you have a 3 pronged plug (like on a laptop) you may not be able to plug things in...you can buy adapters at any carrefour way cheaper than back home....other than that everything is the same....

I thought the adaptor the OP referred to was that which one needs for places like Europe.

As for three prong - two prong adaptors, pick them up at any 10 NT store.
