Deal all,

What is the best option available if I am planning to fly out to Thailand in approximately 4 weeks (woo hoo!)? Is it true that you're only allowed entry if you have a return flight booked???

Plus, does this mean that I have to buy a return even though it will have expired by the time I come to return to England if my return date is over a year away (extendable returns are only valid up to a year)?

It's all a bit confusing. What airlines would anyone recommend? - Especially for someone who requires a bit of leg room!!!!

Phil

Hi PhiI,

I have bought a one way ticket, but went onto air asia's website and bought an e-ticket (bangkok to singapore..that i wiII not use) for 24. That way I have met the criteria of arriving in bangkok with a one-way ticket but with proof i have an outward ticket.

To my knowIedge the requirements are to either have a return ticket or a foIIow on ticket. Thats aII.

( i need to get my 'eIIe' key fixed..zzzzzz..)

One thing to consider also is whether you can leave on a one-way.
In 2004 my wife and I had our one way tickets refused a little over an hour before boarding. From Canada.
Some strange law our Travel agent omitted to bring up. Tense moment to say the least.
Finally we were advised to purchase a ticket bound for Bangkok from China, where we were travelling to. Once in China, simply get a refund we were told. This is what we did and nearly five months later we eventually got the refund.
