I've just relocated to Wroclaw, primarily for love and adventure but I also have a CELTA certificate and a few job leads I'm checking out.
I'd enjoy meeting up with any other folks here for chatting about the teaching possibilities, bureaucratic hassles, etc, as well as just to meet some people to hang out with in real life, practice newbie Polish together, etc.
A general question is how flexible the established schools are about schedules, vacations, etc. I see standard contracts seem to be fairly rigid (2 or 3 weeks a year) but has anyone found they can negotiate to take more time off (unpaid or otherwise)? I would like to do a fair bit of travelling around while I'm here. I'm living cheap so maximizing my income with fulltime work is not my priority now. |

In most schools you will work 2 semeters; Sept/Oct til Feb and Mar til Jun - apart from business schools which seem to be open all year round. So generally time off is a problem for being too much as oppose to too little.
Stay clear of Oxford House in Wroclaw. |
