The younger the kids you teach the better the pressies. My 2 business students didn't turn up at 8am this morning. I still get paid for doing sh*g all. That's quite a good pressie. |

I think if it's got any stuff from the Yardbirds, or his coked up appearance with cream doing Strange Brew on Ready Steady Go, then you'll love it. Does it cover his smack years? |

I got a handknit shawl. It's pink, so not really me but it might look nice on the bed...
My mother in law told me yesterday she's going to buy me slippers for teachers' day. I told her it's not neccessary (as they're piling up in the closet and I never use them-- there must be 10 or so pairs by now), but she says they're for the hospital when I have the baby. You know, in case I was scheming up an evil plan to go barefoot 3 months from now... |

I got a flower and I only started at the school yesterday and have taught a total of 5 lessons to date. Is this a record? |

Worst present I ever got was a stuffed bird in a presentation case. It still didn't beat the singing Elvis mirror given to a colleague. Or the scary Ataturk bust with the light-up flashing blue eyes. |

I recieved a small glass ash tray, definately from the "herşey 1YTL" shop. ...i don't smoke!
However highlight of the day was getting to kiss all the tasty woman teachers that I have been drooling over for the last month or so. |

I got a not as tacky as feared jewelled brooch from one of my morning housewives. In the past I've received flowers, a sweater set from Mango, a pretty scarf, a bizarre anatolian knit wall hanging (it was in strangely Halloweeny colours), a handknit washcloth in pink with a house design on it, and lots of company paraphernalia- pens, keyrings, agendas, etc. My favourite was from Wyeth pharmaceuticals: a quite tasteful silver pen...with a flashlight, red laser beam, and 2 foot long extending pointer tip to poke students with. |
