Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has interviewed with Yanbu recently. I've read different posts and a lot of them seem to say the same things about dealing with some of these institutions. But I was wondering if anyone has had recent dealings with Yanbu. If so, what time frame were you given for when you'd receive any sort of answer? How true are they to their words in that respect? And if there are people living there already, are you able to travel to different cities with any ease?

Ok.

Has anyone recently been offered a position there? I applied a long time ago. I didn't respond to their requests and several months later, this month, i was contacted by them again. I've read that getting offers this late in the game is not necessarily a good thing. Is that true? And if so, why is that? Is it out of desperation or people backing out of positions? I'm new to the overseas opportunities and try to get all the facts and opinions that I can.

Just curious.

Which college in Yanbu are you talking about: Yanbu Industrial College or Univ. College Yanbu?

An offer is an offer, it doesn't matter when u get it.

What matters much more is WHERE you get it!!

The RC itself is a decent organisation, but that's not the problem with UCY. where they were, at least some time ago, having probems with college management. Those issues may now be resolved, perhaps some other posters might enlighten us?

Read my earlier postings on the subject, and those of other posters. You may find them instructive.

I know nothing about YIC, and therefore cannot comment on that establishment.
