I currently work in South Korea. I am a dual citizen of the U.S. and Canada. I do speak Arabic, and I have lived in Kuwait many years ago, so I am not sure how the country is like after 1990. I am a generally liberal person, but I am not a person who needs to get hammered. I just would prefer a country that is somewhat liberal.
Also, how is the pay and the cost of living in relation to other countries? I am wondering if it would be worth my time to go to Kuwait. I am teaching ESL in South Korea, and I have a teaching certificate in social studies from Texas, and I passed the exams necessary for teaching French as well. |

Kuwait is a quiet, easygoing place to live, FCW. The pay is decent, but the disposable income is great. Easy to save money. The only thing you realy need to spend money on is food. And, if you're certified to teach in the U.S., there are a lot of bilingual schools that would be interested in you. You're not going to have a lot of exciting stories to tell people about your time in Kuwait, but if you want to save some $$$$ it's great. |

pay is dependewnt on your education/experience and job you seek
insitute, private school, or university?????
basic experience or 10+ years?????
generally pay is basically good or more dependent on the factors i mentioned
your being liberal is not as important as your being flexible in whether you can survive here or not |

The ad doesn't say anything about housing. Do they provide housing or does the 850 include the housing allowance? If it's the latter, then that's a pretty crappy deal! |

The problem with working for an airline is that you are tempted to use all the free tickets they offer you !
The ticket is just the first step - after you go somewhere you start spending ! Result ? Zero savings. I speak from experience ! |

That's the beauty of living in a vacationer's paradise like Kuwait. You don't need to go anywhere on your time off. You have it all right here! |
