I am planning to come to DF for my third tour (previously '99, '01-'03) on the way back to China. I plan to stay 3-6 months or maybe longer.
Took the time to study old posts going back about 6 months to get re-oriented.
I taught mostly Business English and my second stint I was completely freelance with my very own clients, teaching in companies, my apt, in VIPs and so on.
Does anyone have any suggestions about hostels, or homestays by the week or month? Something modest but with a private bath and reasonably safe. I like the Reforma Angel area and around Sevilla Metro. I am also willing to share a place or rent a room in an apartment.
Since leaving DF I have had extensive experience with a Wall St clone while spending 3 years in China. Does WS or any of the other chains pay very well? What about names of good companies hiring trainers to teach Business English to executives?
I'd like to get my own privates again as well but for a short stay may not be feasible. I don't think I'll bother with an FM3. I just worked on Tourist Visas or no visas before.
BTW, if you are thinking of Colombia it is a basket case. Salaries unbeleivably low, rents very high, and poor treatment to boot.
I'd much appreciate any feedback and would like to network on both a business and personal level.

On your way in, think you can find a small spot in your suitcase for Lozwich? We'd like her back here for an unfinished drinking game...
If no one here offers to share a depto with you, check into the Hotel Oxford for a few nights. It won't take you long to find a pad just by hoofing it around and checking some local listings. |

Yeah, I'm not real big, I'd probably fit in your carry on luggage!
I think IH Mexico City is hiring at the moment, and that's exactly what they do - pay you not a great deal to go traipsing around DF teaching Business English to execs. I think they help with your FM3 though.
I'm back on the Independent FM3 idea myself... |
