hello everyone!
I have searched this forum regarding giving private English lessons in Italy and I was hoping for some updated information.
So here it goes...
1. What is the average hourly rate for a lesson? Would you apply the same rate regardless of the student's age? Should I choose to run small group tuition (2-5) what is the average hourly rate?
2. In the event of a student cancelling a lesson, do you still charge the student if they haven't given at least a day's notice?
3. Does the teacher usually travel to the student's house or do lessons occur in the teacher's home?
I have been doing privates for quite a while now in Australia but I am soon relocating to Italy. I have researched the possibility of teaching at private language institutes and I think the pay is appalling.
If there are any seasoned private teachers out there who can answer some of the above questions I would be delighted to hear from you.
Thanks for reading my post! |
