I started at a Hagwon in South Korea last October (2006). If I only stay for a year and return to England in October of this year (2007), am I liable to be taxed (again) on my Korean earnings when I get back to Britain. If any Brits with experience or knowledge of this situation can advise me, that would be just great. Thanks in advance.

It's very unlikely that you will taxed twice. UK has arrangements in place with most countries to avoid double taxation and what you need to do is to fill in a form when leaving the UK (I think it's called a P80.) After that you should be fine but you'd be better contacting the inland revenue themselves or your local citizens advice bureau will also be able to fill you in.
