I started at a Hagwon in South Korea last October (2006). If I only stay for a year and return to England in October of this year (2007), am I liable to be taxed (again) on my Korean earnings when I get back to Britain. If any Brits with experience or knowledge of this situation can advise me, that would be just great. Thanks in advance. |

It's very unlikely that you will taxed twice. UK has arrangements in place with most countries to avoid double taxation and what you need to do is to fill in a form when leaving the UK (I think it's called a P80.) After that you should be fine but you'd be better contacting the inland revenue themselves or your local citizens advice bureau will also be able to fill you in. |
