This is funny! More antics in DF. If anyone reads in the news what his punishment was, please post it.

That's funny...

Quote:
Alain Robert, 44, dubbed ``the French Spiderman'' for climbing some 70 structures including the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building and San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, made it to the top in just 30 minutes.

He was immediately arrested.

``I went to many jails all around the world. It's no big deal,'' Robert told Reuters, adding that he hoped the Mexican police would treat him nicely.

I hope he had a valid FMT on his person.

I was wondering what building it was that he climbed in Santa Fe. I passed by there this morning on my way into DF.

This story says he scaled the World Plaza Tower. Another story I read said it is one of the tallest buildings in the city and he did it without ropes or a harness. Shocked

Police in Mexico succeeded where evil super-villains have failed many times by catching Spiderman!
Fortunately it wasn't the web-slinging hero, but a man who earned the nickname after climbing the world's tallest buildings without ropes.

Frenchman Alain Robert was arrested after scaling the World Plaza tower in Mexico City on Thursday.

He's climbed 70 of the tallest towers in the world, and police often disgree with his dangerous stunts.

He's been arrested in more than 50 cities around the world.

Robert claims he has climbed buildings including the Sears tower in the US, the Sydney Opera House in Australia and the France's Eiffel Tower in Paris.
