Probably half the emails I send to schools are returned back, failed delivery. Some schools it goes right through, but many the email gets immediately sent right back to me. I attempted to send them an email without my photo (my digital camera is quite new, takes high resolution photos increasing file size) and they still don't go through, so I don't think it is the size of the email itself.

Has anybody experienced this?

If so, did you find out how to remedy it?

Thanks everybody, and happy holidays.

I had a few like this which were very persistent. In the end I sent them a very brief note saying I am a teacher looking for work, and could they please provide an email without agressive spam filters for me to send my CV to.

One school also asks for this:

Wyrazam zgode na przetwarzanie danych osobowych zawartych w mojej ofercie pracy w celach rekrutacyjnych, zgodnie z ustawa z dn. 29.08.1997r. "O ochronie danych osobowych", Dz.U. nr 133, poz. 833)

to be added at the end, which basically says that personal details can be held on file.

You can try making a text-only version of your CV, pretty it up a bit, and just paste it into the e-mail. You can say that should they desire a .doc version, they need to send you a "safe" e-mail address.

Just an idea.

yeah, i tried a text only copy as well, but usually the email addresses that do not work don't work at all, no matter what i try and send. i tried sending just my cover letter which is only a page of text, and that won't go through either.

it's very unfortunate because i have a list from somebody on this forum for schools in wroclaw and i've only been able to reach half of them. i'm looking to leave the end of january and would like to get my information to as many schools as possible because i know this isn't the best time to look for work.
